Movies

We were asked to make a
contribution for the Zürich Volts&Visions Festival
in January 2005. We decided to make a sound-
track for the Jan Svankmajer film “Alice”, and
perform that live to the film being screened. It
was performed on January the 25th in Zürich.

After contact with Mr Jan Svankmajer, we agreed to make a demo sound track for
his short cut “A quiet Week in the House”. It was completed in 2006.

A.Comme Neuchatel
During the exhibition ‘A.comme’ in the OFS in Neuchatel,
subtitled ‘Interdit, Tabou, Transgression, Resistance’, we have been in-
vited by Arthur de Pury to make a live intervention. The proposition
was to work on the theme of the exhibition and to play with
the sounds of it. It took place on september 10th 2005 with Luigi Archetti and Bill Gilonis.
Every performer was playing in a different exhibition room sending mono signal, as four solo concerts. The result was spread in the hall of the OFS, in quadriphony for audio and in quadrichromy for the visual signal. We performed for three hours with short pauses every twenty minutes. During these pauses, performers was invited to drink a little glass of absinth, wich was the subject of ‘A.comme’.

Web festivals

Placard #7 2004
Our first deed happened on August 1st 2004. Having got
notice of the Placard festival, an internet based head-
phone festival, we decided to participate in it. We did a 3
hour performance, streaming live into the servers of the
Placard, to be heard all over the world. The event took
place in the evening on the balcony of Jeroens house,
accompanied by Bill Gilonis, Luigi Archetti, Simon Dell-
sperger, Jan Schlegel, Sibylle Aeberli, and swiss nation-
al fireworks, all combined into a very ./morfromesque/.
stream.

Placard #8 2005
Having found the Walcheturm to do it bigger this time,
./morFrom/. organized two days of sound performances
presenting the Zürich leg of the Placard#8 Headphone
Festival. Again, the whole performance was streamed
live, and could be heard by anyone in the world interest-
ed. We got listerners in the US, Japan, France, Holland
and Germany. Special on this occasion was that Lukas
Simonis and Henk Bakker of Rotterdam’s wormweb.nl
joined into a “pingpong” Placard on the second day, also
bringing in guests from Peru and Argentine. Perform-
ances took place in the Walcheturm, Kanonengasse 20,
in Zurich-CH and at Worm in Rotterdam. Performers

Placard #9 2006
The 3rd Placard was organised out of the F.ishing
B.akery L.abs Studio in Zürich. Lack of time did not
permit a bigger organisation. We did a nice concert
which was joined by Jason Kahn, performing as differ-
ent Duos, as Solo artist and as a Trio.
